Taylor was born and raised in Northeastern North Carolina. She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from East Carolina University with a concentration in Middle Grades Mathematics. She currently lives in Hertford with her husband, Chad, and their two daughters, Tinlee, and Talynn, who has Bohring-Opitz Syndrome. Taylor has always had the passion to better the lives of children. Taylor has extensive first hand experience working with children who have mild to severe disabilities. She now works as a teacher and an infant toddler family specialist. She has become very familiar with numerous therapy techniques that support children with developmental delays and/or health issues, through her professional work and care of her daughter, Talynn. She uses her outgoing personality, strong work ethic, and positive attitude to affect positive change in the lives of children.
